Conducting pilot assessments that push the envelope in terms of access, rigor, scope, and other dimensions. Producing open-source tools and training materials to enable reaching the gold standard more easily.

Analyzing and advocating for policies that incentivize rigorous auditing through mechanisms such as insurance, regulation, procurement criteria, and investor due diligence.

We published a preprint on a new method for studying near-verbatim memorization in language models. It has implications for access requirements in frontier AI auditing.

Frontier AI Auditing-Related Legislation in the US
We survey the current landscape, discuss challenges with audit requirements and pathways for addressing them, and make our first endorsement of specific legislation.
